I’m sure that you feel depressing.
But you don’t have to be boring!!

♪KARAOKE♪
If you like to sing, you should go there!
They have thousands of songs.
Most of them are Japanese, but there are almost always English, Korean, and Chinese songs as well!

☆Go to an entertainment center☆
You can do just about anything like bowling, billiard, darts, ping-pong, and so on!
Here’s my favorite spot as follow:

☆Go to a relaxation-spa☆
Relaxation spa is a public bath which has many kinds of bath like open-air bath, sauna, Jacuzzi bath, and so on.
You can finish off the day with a relaxing!

★Shopping★
Most large cities have underground shopping complex, department stores around main station.

GET DRUNK TOGETHER!!

Hi!!
I am MAYUMI from J-Hoppers Hiroshima!!

I was looking for some place to drink by my self.
I have never been to an bar alone.
And... Finally!!  I found quite good bar near from J-Hoppers Hiroshima!!

The name is <OTIS!>
You can see this yellow fascia on YOSHIJIMA STREET.

They often have music live in here.
I joined guitar picking live in last weekend. It was great and very impressed.
I feel a bit uneasy about a speaker.
There is amazing sound!!

At the time, Master was not there because of his music live.
So we were just his wife and guitarist and guest.
It feels like at home.
Atmosphere was really nice in there.

You can also enjoy Mexican food and vegetarian food in here.
I enjoyed Beans Tacos!! It was so good!

They are open on Monday to Saturday(12:00-23:00), Sunday and Holidays(16:00-23:00)
It is just 3 minutes from A-BOMB MUSEUM.

They can speak English.
So I will recommend this restaurant to our gest.

I have found a place to go to drink by my self!!
I can get drunk on my way to go home!!

Get drunk together!!!
ha ha ha ha ha~~~☆☆☆

Sento!Sento!!Sento!!!

Hi there!!This is Chika from J-Hoppers Hiroshima.
It's getting cold recently.so hard to choose my clothes every day.
Coz it's a bit chilly in the morning but heat up in the day time....

As it gets colder,I begin to long for a nice and warm bath.
Although there is a bath room in my apartment, but if I fill the bathtub with hot water every night,
My monthly charges for utilities would be high...

So at that time I always got to SENTO near my apartment.
Have you hear of SENTO??
Sento is a public bath. Each sent has two big rooms that separate male and female.
People are required to wash themselves first and then they can take bath in a bit bathtub to relax
and also sometimes communicate with other local people.

There is typical japanese sent near J-Hoppers Hiroshima guesthouse.
It cast 400yen per person.
This sento is not so big ,you could feel more relaxing than taking shower.
You can by a body wash, shampoo and towel there. But normally people brings own stuff there.

Even if you got a tatoo, you can bath at sento(except Super Sento)!!No need to be worry :-)
After you bath at sent, there is nice Yakitori restaurant nearby,Why don't you drink Sake and have a good food?

Tokyo as the next destination from Kyoto

Some of our guests visit Tokyo as the next destination after staying in Kyoto Hana Hostel. So, I would like to introduce some tourist information in Tokyo as the next destination from Kyoto to you!

I have sometimes visited Tokyo for my business trip and holiday. I think a night bus or the Shinkansen Line is the best as a means of transportation from Kyoto to Tokyo.

There are various night buses from Kyoto Station to Shinjuku Station in Tokyo (I will recommend you to make a reservation in advance!!). They are good transports for those who wish to save money or have enough time to stay in Japan. I think it takes about six or seven hours to get there by bus.

On the other hand, we can take the Shinkansen such as Nozomi, Hikari, and Kodama as another method of going to Tokyo. I actually like going there on the Nozomi Shinkansen, having an “Ekiben” (Lunchbox) on the train

Tokyo Station
Do you remember Tokyo station was redecorated last year?
Like Osaka station, the area around Tokyo Station has been developed together with new buildings for shopping.
Tokyo station is a unique brick building like Amsterdam Central Station. It was redecorated last year. I feel relaxed whenever I see the building.
Marunouchi Gate, Tokyo Station
The new spot for modern Japanese scenery
I think Tokyo Station is convenient to visit various places such as Shinjuku for drinking and shopping, Akihabara as the birthplace of  “Otaku” by JR Yamanote-Line (Circle line) and some amusement parks like Tokyo Disney Resort by JR Keiyo or Musashino Line, linking to Tokaido Line toward Kyoto.
Then, as you know, there is Tokyo Skytree which was opened last May as a new sightseeing spot in Tokyo. It seems the highest radio tower in the world now. The view from “Tenbo Gallaria” is splendid indeed! Next to the tower, there is an aquarium, Sumida Suizokukan!  It is the good place worth visiting!
Tokyo Skytree: what a high tower it is!
A fantastic view from the tower
Sumida Aquarium: This penguin is swimming as if he flied in the sky.
I will visit Tokyo again to meet my friends in November. I will update my blog about Tokyo next time.

90% travelers are satisfid with Osaka !!!

Osaka Government Tourism researched how many foreign travelers are satisfid with Osaka.
I cannot believe .. but 90% of them said YES!!
I really love Osaka, so this news is really amazing!
They commented food is great and local people are very friendly.
Sometimes I watch local people help them when they get lost on the way.

I really appreciate all people who visited Osaka!
Arigato gozaimasu!!!!

We are all family. Hope to see you soon!!! (>v<)

Character lunch box

I am pretty sure your parents have made lunch box for you when you were a kid.
My mom has too, but my mom is not very good at cooing so I still remember I was embarrassed
when I ate lunch box with my classmates...
Anyway I want to introduce some amazing lunch boxes!!!!
Here you are!
Pokemon
Totoro
Dragonball
They are so cool, aren't they?!
We call them Kyaraben,Character bento.(lunch box)
Japanese mothers must have hard time to think and make it in the morning for their kids and must have competition in the school!!!!

There are plenty of Kyaraben so you can serch on Google!
They must amaze you for sure!

One best hiking spot: Kyoto trail From Ninose to Genkou-An& Onsen &Beer

Yesterday we found out Full Moon for the harvest moon day. Japanese people appreciate showing full moon offering sticky rice cake.
After next 8 years we would get it again.
One of my dream is admiring Full moon at Katsura Palace which is build for enjoying full moon reflected light of itself on pound as mirror.

In Kyoto there are many places to visit each season. I am from Kyoto. It is said that past three generation from Kyoto this person is real Kyoto-Gin (Original Kyoto People). But I have many place to not have been to yet.
Last holiday I went to hike to Ninose from Genkou-An which means East side of Kyoto to West side of Kyoto. Wow too long distance. I recognized it after checking with map now!

Our meeting point Demachiyanagi Station Eizan-railway at 8:40AM. Kirara express We always get on  I'm traveling when I get this train.

Sign of Trail road

After climing chain of mauntains I visit Himuro Shrine. Himiro means old fridge with ice. It is reffered to bring ice to imperial in summer. So we can get fresh and cold air.

After walking 8 hours later finally I arrived Genkou-an! But I could not get spirit to be brought toward spiritual enlightment.

wild plant give sign it is changing season
After meditation in Genkou-An I went to FUNAOKA ONSEN and having dinner with beer it is very luxury time!!

FIN

Kobe winery again!

Lots of green on a small hill surrounded by Kobe.

This is my second time to help my friend's coffee shop at the market in Kobe winery.
It is a small market but really nice to do in the nature.
We make fresh brewed coffee one by one.
Coffee aroma spread all around and it is a blissful moment.

The good thing in winery is you can try something special only at winery.
We can try "heurige".
Brewing wine is fermented for  about 30 days with the addition of yeast to the juice of the grape.
Heurige is the liquid until completely fermented.
Alcohol is 3-5%, sweetness of grape juice in the fermentation process.
We only could try it at there and only in this time!!

I had a really nice day off in the nature.
Next market will be in November!!
