Short trip to Tokyo

Hello everyone !

Some days ago I went to Tokyo !
From Takayama it is a 5h30 bus trip to reach the capital.
There I stayed in a great place that my friend recommended me : NUI.

.
.
.
I was really lucky on my trip as I a witness of the 1st November snow in Tokyo since a long time ! If for the people living in Tokyo it was suddenly cold I just did not realize the change of temperature as it is already really cold in Takayama.

So I went to the museum to learn more about Japanese history :

.
.
The second day I went to Yanaka-cho with my French friend Ines. Yanaka-cho is a really old district in Tokyo which survived both earthquake and war. Even in Tokyo you can find these kind of place feeling the history. Then we walked to the Sky Tree to take a train to Omotesando and join her company party. There a big surprise awaited me : Ellie ! We met at Osaka Hana Hostel about 2 years ago ! Such a surprise.

For my last day I spent sometime studying then went to the Tokyo-Edo Museum. I got the chance to see acrobatic art performance and beautiful miniatures. The museum is well down and I did not have enough time to enjoy it fully...

If you go to Tokyo I definitely recommend you these places to stay and enjoy Tokyo !

Birthday Shopping in Brand-new Mall!

As my sister had her birthday on the 22nd (don't ask how old she became lol), she and I decided to go out for shopping together with our mom!

We picked a local shopping mall just 20 minutes away from our parents' for her very first shopping as 27 years-old. (I said it lol)

 EAON MALL Hiroshima Fuchu SOLEIL

The mall had just reopened after renovation on the 18th of November.

They say they newly opened 82 stores and a half of them are the very first stores in Chu-goku and Shikoku areas. We definitely gotta check 'em out!!

One of our favorite stores, Flying Tiger has finally arrived in Hiroshima! Yayyy!

Flying Tiger from Denmark
Evrything in the store made us feel happy.. :D

Bought some cute napkins for the birthday dishes :)

Another store I'd wanted to visit is... American Eagle!
American Eagle Outfitters

I personally like Aeropostale more but I guess there's only one or two stores in Japan.. so it's okay! I'm still happy to have AEO in such a small town like Fuchu.

They happened to be holding a super sale and everything in the store was 20% OFF on the day! I bought three pairs of jeans. But still cheap! Plus they are very comfortable to wear! I think I'll be a regular customer there :P

We got the mall in the early afternoon but kept shopping until around 8pm!
I was actually planning to buy her some birthday gifts but I ended up spending all my money on my own stuff. Well, we sure will go back there so I'll save the opportunity until then :P

There are way more new and exciting stores in EAON MALL Hiroshima Fuchu.
It's best to go shopping in such a rainy day like today!

Kazuko and Kyung's Birthday Party

The other day, we celebrated our receptionist Kazuko and Bar staff Kyung's birthday.
They have already been working here for over 1 year !!

We had lunch together in living room at Osaka Hana Hostel.

They got beautiful flower from our manager Masae and her husband Mark.

Happy Birthday Kazuko and Kyung!!

I love working here because our boss care about all of us.

Even our birthday,  health, personal problem..

Such a nice place to work!!

I'm gluten free now!!!!!

Hello

The autumn leaves season's almost over and winter is now coming along soon.
I'm planning to do some new experiences for this winter.

First off, actually I have already started though, I have been on "Gluten-free diet" recently.
Gluten-free diet is a diet that exclude the protein gluten such as wheat, rye etc. so basically you cannot eat any grain.

Recently, the world champion tennis player Novak Jokovich has been on this diet and after he wrote his book about it, it became popular trend in these days.

Gluten-free diet has been used as a treatment for celiac disease and gluten intolerance for a long time. But some people, even though they are not celiac disease nor gluten intolerance, their body secretly is sensitive to glutens and without knowing, hidden symptoms may slow down their daily life performance.

I don't know it is truth or false but I might as well try to do it once anyway.

So in order to start this diet, I gave every food I had that contained grains such as bread and noodles to my housemates.

I also try to avoid buying these things at the supermarket, scratched off all of the recipes containing grains and try to eat natural foods just like fruit and vegetables more as much as i can.

Then it's been 2 weeks now. I don't know if it's had effect or not but I will keep trying to do this diet :)

Leaf peeping ♡

Hi there ! It's Madi from Kyoto Hana Hostel :)

In Kyoto, the leaves are turning yellow or red day by day and some of them reached its peak.
So as I got 2 days off in a row, I went to some places for leaf peeping !

This is Eikando which is one the most famous spot for Japanese maples :)
There are many different colors everywhere, different kind of Japanese maple trees everywhere so I cant' get enough of seeing ! Especially sunset time, the scenery is stunning !

This is Nanzenji Temple which near Eikando, not as great as Eikando but in the wide area, there are many different colored leaves and its please your eyes.

This is Enkouji temple in Ichijoji area ; north-west in Kyoto city. I assumed that the peak was slightly over but the garden view was just brilliant !
Also the contrast between Japanese maples and bamboos are very beautiful.

Kiyomizu temple; most famous spot in Kyoto through the year.
Better go there early morning, before 9 am is good if you would like to take nice pictures !
It was pity cause it was raining... if the weather was good, the scenery must be good !

The last one is Entokuin that is a part of Kodaiji temple in Gion area. It did not reach to the peak yet but I could have peaceful and serene time here :)

So this is how I spent my 2 days off. Cause I went many places so at the end, I was tired but at the same time, I again realized Kyoto is very attractive place, never get enough !

Ryu ga Gotoku

Hi, this is Shiori from J-hoppers Hiroshima.

I'm into the video game '' Ryu ga gotoku'' recently.

「้พใŒๅฆ‚ใ」ใฎ็”ปๅƒๆคœ็ดข็ตๆžœ

The story follows a yakuza named kiryu-chan, who, after spending ten years in jail for a crime he did not commit, learns that 10 billion yen has been stolen from the Tojo clan, which the criminal underworld is searching for. He finds an orphaned girl Haruka who is being targeted by the clan, as she is believed to have the key for their lost money, and he resolves to protect her.  (Thank you, wiki pedia!! This is briefly explanation:) )

I played the game only 2 series. There are many series in Japan.
And new series Ryu ga Gotoku 6 will be released on December 8th, 2016.

I gotta play the other series in a hurry and catch up new one!!

Because the game Ryu ga Gotoku 6 takes place in Hiroshima, Onomichi.

That's amazing to me as a fan from Hiroshima!!
