Food Festival in Takayama !!
We had Spring Food Festival in Takayama 22th and 23th of May.
If you go there,
you can have different kinds of local food like this↓↓
Spit-roasted Hida Beef
Gohei-mochi
It is prepared by putting pounded steam rice
onto the skewer and then by grilling it with tare.
Sarubobo-yaki
It is a Japanese-style waffle.
The most common filling is red bean paste
that is made from sweetened azuki beans.
Other common fillings are custard, chocolate.
The waffle has a shape of Sarubobo.
Rice cracker
It is decorated with sugar paste.
Grilled-Mountain Trout
Sake-Tasting
This food festival is held twice a year in spring and autumn.
The autumn food festival will be held on 11th and 12th of September.

If one's going to Hida Takayama, one needs about one week or more to try all the local sakes in that area.
In fact, if you look up sake on Wikipedia, Hirata Sake Brewery (Hida Takayama) is posted as well below the picture of Itsukushima Shirine (Miyajima Island).
