Shirakawa-go is covered with snow

Hello, this is PAPI from J-Hoppers Hida Takayama Guest House.

They often have snowy weather in Takayama and Hida region.
Yesterday, I went to Shirakawa-go with my friends.

It was snowing all day.....
When we arrived at Shirakawa-go, it was blanketed by snow.

On this day, it was one of beautiful event as winter illumination.
The illumination only takes place 7 days each year in January and February



.


When gathering darkness, many houses are illuminated and create beautiful landscape.





I was freezing cold but the houses are soooo beautiful.
There are many cafe and restaurant open quite late on this day.
