Visiting God of literature ~太宰府（Dazaifu）~

Spring is almost there!
My nose can feel that pollens are everywhere. I had runny nose and stuffed nose till I went to see my doctor till day before yesterday...
Spring is also the time of graduation and enrollment of school.
Students who are expecting to graduate study hard to pass entrance exams. One of the things those students do is to visit shrine that enshrine God of literature.
In Fukuoka, there is one of the famous shrines that enshrines god of literature which is Dazaifu Tenmangu. During New year holidays, about 2 million people visit the shrine from all over Japan.
Student who will take exams visit this shrine and pray for passing their entrance exams.
This time of the year, you can see flower of plums at the shrine. There are 6,000 plum trees of 197 varieties in the vicinity of shrine.
When I visited Dazaifu Tenmangu early this month, I saw little snow on top of main shrine.
It was so cold and quite but the nature around the shrine was so beautiful!
If you have chance to come Fukuoka, you should visit Dazaifu Tenmangu and pray for your life success!
