Shimogamo shrine light festival

Shimogamo shrine is one of the world heritage site in Kyoto.

At there, special night event is held until September 2nd.

Date: August 17th ~ September 2nd

Time: 6:30pm ~ 10pm (last admission 9:30pm)

Fee: 1,000 yen (weekday) / 1,200 yen (weekend)

*Must enter from south exit of Tadasu no mori (forest of Tadasu)*

Access from J-Hoppers: approx. 40-50 mins

 by train...10 mins walk ~ Keihan Railway Tofukuji station ~ Demachiyanagi station ~ 10mins walk

 by bus... from Kyoto station bus no. 4 or 205 ~ Shin-aoibashi
