Visiting the Fushimi Inari-Taisha in Kyoto | One of the most-see shrines in Kyoto
Hey, here are Julian and Sumi again.
When we were in Kyoto yesterday we also visited the world famous Fushimi Inari-Taisha shrine.
I think everyone knows the shrine because of the many orange gates.
The Fushimi Inari Shrine has ancient origins, predating the capital's move to Kyoto in 794.
When we arrived at the shrine there were many people at the entrance and the main place where the orange gates were starting. But I think we had luck, despite the good weather yesterday there were not too many people as you can see in the pictures.
The shrine and the track of the orange gates are very beautiful. The nature on the way up to the mountain is spectecular. Everything looks so historical.
Most of the people say they won't go there because of the many people. But the further you get the less people are there. We only made it to the half of the mountain because we wanted to visit Kyoto and the Inishi Market too. It's quite a long way. We ended our trip at a viewing point from where you can see a big part from Kyoto.
