Tokyo and Kamakura Food & Sweets Guide 2019
Hi, this is Saho from J-Hoppers Kyoto, the backpacker hostel near Kyoto station.
I had my trip to Tokyo for the first time in 8 years, saw my friends and had small adventures!
As usual, I was on food trip during my stay in Tokyo ;)
First day, my friend and I went to Kamakura and there was a cafe I was dying to go. "Oimo Cafe Canary", they specialize in oimo(お芋）which is sweet potato.
Ice cream, shaved ice made with sweet potato and they go well with coffee !
Not only pretty looking but it is so delicious !
The next day, we went to explore Omotesando and I fell in love with "Cafe Lotus".
It is one of the cafe pioneer in Omotesando and they serve beautiful Italian food and sweets. One of their best sellers is Vanilla Ice cream with cute bear chocolate cake.( This is so cute!)
But we ordered peach cake (with custard cream filling inside of a whole peach) and cheese cake. (Of course they are so delicious..)
What I more impressed was very friendly staff ! They are all welcoming and friendly and We felt it very comfortable.
This is by far my favorite cafe in Tokyo :)
