♪ New Hiroshima Hana Hostel Member YUNO ♪

The weather has been really unstable in Hiroshima recently. Getting warmer for spring, but all of sudden got really cold and North of Hiroshima had snow....Really weired but goot to see snow again.

Hello from Hiroshima HANA Hostel, this is Kana Here.

Let me introduce our new member here today! Her name is Yuno from South Korea, but she speaks English and Japanese fluently. I feel like she speaks better than my Japanese sometime..

I asked her for photo, but she is too shy to take it now but NEXT TIME when she is ready..w

She is now helping cleaning, our regular party, and my Korean! I used to study Korean long time ago but I already gave up.. But she teaches me Korean almost everyday. She is my Best korean teacher ever!!!
This is her first day of our regular party!!

All of our staff already like her alot even she has been here less than a week. We love her friendly personality.
We had little welcome party for her after regular party and we had goot time all together!

Wish she could stay here longer but she is leaving in mid of may to Fukuoka and flight back to South Korea. We will all miss her.
So I have decided to study Korean really hard while my best Korean teacher in Hiroshima!
Please come to Hiroshima to meet our new member before she leaves!!

Must do it in Japan!

I really love my country! Then I want you to know Japan more!
Not only the surface, please feel and try Japanese spirits!

Today, I recommend 3 things you must do in Japan!
I am very happy if you will be impressed our culture.

First, "Robotic massage chair".

This chair is awesome!
Massaging your body and take your tiredness off!
You feel you are on a baby cradle.

Almost all public bathes have this chair.
Usually 10mins is 100 ~ 200yen.

 Second, "Washlet"or
toilet seat with bidet that sprays water from underneath and dries with air.

I wont explain any more, just do it!

Nowadays they flash like this, ha ha.

Third, "Lying on Tatami for a while".

Tatami is a Japanese floor.
Its core is made of straw and the surface "tatami-omote" is made of dry stalks of rushes "igusa."

These smell is so good!
You will feel warm in winter and cold in summer.

Lying on Tatami is very comfortable!
I really like it. I might be a cat like her...!!

Please try these 3 things in Japan.

It's not too late for SAKURA viewing in Takayama!!

Hello!! This is moco*:)

Have you ever seen SAKURA in Japan?

Normally, SAKURA flowers start blooming first in the southern part.

Takayama is located in middle of Japan, but it's very cold here

so you can enjoy some SAKURA until early May.

I went to see "Garyu-Zakura" last week.

It's 1,100 year-old-tree.

Unfortunately, it has just finished the peak season.

Called "Shokawa-Zakura" the SAKURA tree will bloom in early May.

It's 500 year-old-tree.

I took those picture 2 years ago.
The top left is the village, "Shokawa no Sato"

So many people were there to take a picture in Shokawa.

Access: Shokawa line by Nohi bus
Fare: 1,800 yen (Oneway)

Kurobe Alpine route

I went to Kurobe Alpine route

It takes 3hours drive from Takayama to Tateyama  which is a starting poing of  Kurobe Alpine route.

Route is known as the Roof of Japan. The route passes through the dynamic scenery of Mt. Tateyama in the Japan Alps. It is traversed using a variety of vehicles with an elevation change of 2400 meters from Toyama Prefecture to Nagano Prefecture.

"hadouken" meme

A new meme has taken the Internet by storm.
It's called Hadouken-ing, and the trend, which started in Japan.
In "hadouken" meme, people are photographed as they are using powers to send others flying through the air.

It's an action shot that takes some practice to perfect, but when done right, it makes for some very cool photos.

This is the photo that I took when I traveled in Jordan.

I tried taking a photo that creates the illusion like famous Japanese cartoon "Dragon Ball".lol

Have you joined in on this viral sensation? If so, upload your best 'Hadouken' pics on your facebook and you might be featured on TODAY!

Spring has come?

Hello, this is PAPI from J-Hoppers Hida Takayama Guest House.

Today(11th April) ,we had snow in the morning .
On the roof, tree...  snow cover them .

You can still enjoy in Takayama.

"Let's visit sake breweries and have a taste of Saijo sake."

Several regions in Japan are famous for great sake production ,and Saijo is the one of great Sake places which is truly one of the finest sources of superior sake in Japan.

Sake is made from rice and water. But to brew the best sake, both must be pure. Saijo is blessed with an abundance of ideal sake-brewing water that comes from local wells that have been famous for generations.

In Saijo, 9 sake breweries reside in close proximity around a neighborhood called Sakagura Dori.

I live in Saijo and I take my friends to Saijo sake breweries when they come here.
We go Sake-hopping about 6.7 sake breweries,so I always get squiffy and go back to my house, hahaha:)

One of My favourite Sake breweries is Hakubotan which is One of the oldest breweries in Hiroshima. The sake is known for its clean finish and elegant taste. And the staff have a good knowledge of Sake,so talk to them about it (^^)

At Hana hostel Hiroshima, We have a Sake tasting night every Wednesday and Sunday.

Our manger Haya chose some nice Hiroshima Sake . Let's enjoy it together!!
